DELIVER PREMIUM TRADING CARDS TO CELEBRATE

ANGEL: SEASON THREE

 Featuring Special Pieceworks Cards That Contain Actual Pieces Of Costumes Worn On-Screen During ANGEL

RALEIGH, NC  – September 17, 2002 – Fox Licensing & Merchandising and Inkworks have joined forces again to bring fans of the hit television series ANGEL an all new set of premium trading cards based on the shows’ third season. A must own for ANGEL fans, the third series of trading cards contains 90 base cards sporting full episodic coverage of season three. Additionally, the set has exciting bonus cards including nine different autographed cards and, for the first time in an ANGEL product, Pieceworks Cards.  Pieceworks Cards are special, randomly inserted cards that each contain an actual piece of a costume worn on-screen during ANGEL.

A breakdown of the bonus cards are as follows: 

·         AUTOGRAPHED CARDS – Inserted approximately ONE PER BOX.  Nine cards:  Amy Acker (Fred), Keith Szarabajka (Holtz), Daniel Dae Kim (Gavin), Jack Conley (Sahjhan), Mark Lutz (Groo), Laurel Holloman (Justine), Ron Melendez (James), Jarrod Crawford (Rondell) and John Rubinstein (Linwood).  (Nine cards - Appx. odds 1:35 packs).

·         PIECEWORKS CARDS - Pieceworks cards will appear in an Angel trading card product for the first time ever.  Two different show-worn costume-embedded cards featuring Angel's shirt worn in episode 2, "That Old Gang of Mine" and Cordelia's gown worn in episode 13, "Waiting In The Wings" (the ballet episode).  (Two cards - Appx. odds 1:54 packs). 

·         TRIANGULATION CARDS - Six foil-etched cards featuring the unexpected love triangles explored in Season Three:  Angel/Cordy/Groo and Wesley/Fred/Gunn.  (Six cards - Appx. odds 1:17 packs).  

·         PROPHESIES UNFOLD CARDS - Nine card foil puzzle featuring Angel and the realization of prophesies affecting him and his son, Connor. (Nine cards - Appx. odds 1:11 packs).

·         PLUS - BOX LOADER and CASE LOADER  CARDS - Three different box loader cards (one card per sealed display box) and one case loader card (one card per sealed case).  

Packs of  ANGEL: SEASON THREE cards have a suggested retail price of $2.29.  Each pack contains seven cards with 36 packs in each sealed display box. An all-new ANGEL: SEASON THREE collector album (SRP $19.99) has been created for this set and a limited, numbered uncut mini-press sheet of "Prophesies Unfold" is sold out.

ANGEL is a spin-off of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER that stars David Boreanaz as Angel, a 200+ year old vampire.  After years of suffering under the effects of a gypsy curse, he leaves Sunnydale and Buffy to move to Los Angeles where he plans to regain his humanity by saving lost souls.  Joss Whedon, creator of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ANGEL, serves as executive producer.   ANGEL will air on The WB on Sunday nights at 9:00 pm (Eastern and Pacific).  The ANGEL season premiere is Sunday, October 6, 2002.

2) All cards, including any randomly packed bonus cards, will be found defect-free, or we will replace them while supplies last.
